Standing at Every Opportunity

Here are some more standing pics of Joshua. The boy loves to stand up all the time. Yesterday, he begin to stand up in the bath, which makes for a challenging and dangerous bath given that the tub is some what slippery (even with some textured suction cup fish on the bottom of the tub). He loves to show off his skill by hanging on one handed too. However, he has yet to realize that it is near impossible to both hang on to a railing at head level and also grab a toy laying on the bed without falling down. He wants it all and he wants it all right now. But he can't have it. He has much to learn. Next on the agenda is trying to walk. Watch this space.

Joshua Stands Up For Himself

Joshua has got the crawling thing mostly down and now he is working on pulling himself up and standing. If you push his bum a little or pull him by his arms a tad, then he can come up and grab the bars on the head of the bed (or anything else at the right height) to stand by himself. We took this picture with Sun's cell phone while Joshua was playing on the bed. He likes to stand there for a while, hanging on often with two hands, some times with one hand. We suspect that it will be only a short time before he'll try taking his first steps.
