Chantry gives a cutting indictment of the failure of modern evangelism, showing how it is man-centered, not God-centered like the evangelism of Jesus. Chantry walks through the principles of Biblical, God-centered evangelism using the story of Jesus' encounter with the rich young ruler. The Biblical truths that Chantry brings out in this book are essential for anyone who wants to share the Gospel in God-honoring way that brings points to the wonderfulness and greatness of God, not merely the fringe benefits of believing. Many Christians have unwittingly convinced unconverted people that they are saved because they have failed to bring them to the law, and to truly confront the depth of their own sin and the greatness of God's wrath. This book was very helpful to me in thinking about how to approach sharing the Gospel so that people truly understand their position before God and the necessity of repentance and faith in Christ, not merely an easy-believism that cheapens the grace of God. Highly recommended.
